Today my good friends over at Realmac Software released their much-anticipated web & screen snapping application, LittleSnapper. I have been testing LittleSnapper since the Alpha 2 phase, so I’ve watched this app grow up for quite a while. With its official release today, I can finally tell everyone about all the cool stuff that this app brings to the Mac.
To my surprise, I logged onto Flickr this evening only to discover that Flickr has added video uploading! It’s pretty cool. There are some limitations:
You must be a paid Flickr Pro member. ($25/ year, totally worth it. I’ve been one for two years!)
Videos must be 90 seconds or less. (If greater than 90 seconds, only the first 90 seconds will play.)
Videos must be 150 MB or less. (And that’s that.)
Videos must be “safe”. (i.e. Not pr0n.)
I think these parameters are all valid. The Pro status makes sense, because a Pro membership gives you unlimited upload space, and video is the bane of hard drive space.
Also, I am more likely to shoot short little videos and call it good. I am not much of a video person. For me, YouTube is fun to watch videos, but I won’t make videos for that site, because I am not part of the “social network” on YouTube.
On Flickr, I have many contacts, friends, and family. It is in the top three of my social networks. Those are Flickr, Facebook, and Twitter. In that order.
Flickr, well done. This came as a total surprise, and it rocks!
Readers, embedded below is my first Flickr video. Bon appétit.
This is my brand new shirt from Insanely Great Tees! I have been waiting for this shirt for so long, and the wait has been worth it. It arrived just in time for me to start my last semester of college tomorrow, and I plan to wear it for the occasion.
The best part is that my first class tomorrow is Advertising Principles.
Call me a walking billboard for the best tech company ever, and the best tech t-shirt company ever.
Finally, the guys over at Insanely Great Tees have released the much anticipated “I’m a Mac” shirt. I, of course, purchased it immediately with insanely great haste.
I really hope it arrives before classes start, because this would be a great way to kick off my final semester. I’ll post a pic of myself wearing it on my Flickr when it arrives.
Also, the company released one more design called Binary Tree. I’m sure my programmer friends would be interested in that. Not to name names, but those guys would be Nate, Steve, and Travis.
